White Trout Lake – Campsite #6
Midway through White Trout Lake and nestled on the eastern shore is this cozy little campsite. It’s not big and grandeur or small and primitive… in my eyes, it’s just a stereotypical Algonquin Park campsite. It offers a gorgeous view of the sunset, tons of seating around a well built fire pit (with a great view onto the water), and enough space throughout the site for a group to feel comfortable and not cramped. There are a handful of tent spots to choose from, however most are on a slight slant. The thunderbox is a short walk away and if I remember correctly was in good enough condition. The site is easily accessible with a smooth rocky landing, which also offers easy access to the water for swimming, cooking, putting out a fire, etc. You can also get a bar or two of cell service at the front of the site.
