Three Mile Lake – Campsite #10
This island campsite in the south end of Three Mile is in the narrow part of an hourglass figure. The site can be accessed from both the east and west side of the island, which is only about 20ft away from each other at the narrowest section. However the west side has a long shallow beach that provides much better access for landing and unloading your gear. The fire pit has plenty of flat seating, facing east for the sunrise. Just beside there are a few flat tent spot options, enough to accommodate 2-3 medium or large tents. This site provides a spectacular view of the sunset and enough space for a large group to feel comfortable. However the site is pretty exposed which can be an issue if you have bad weather. Overall I really enjoyed camping here and it’s definitely one of the nicer sites on Three Mile Lake.
