Pardee Lake – Campsite #2

The southern campsite on Pardee Lake is a decent site, but it’s the lesser of the two on the lake, in my opinion. Since Algonquin Park only issues one permit for Pardee Lake, I would personally choose the northern site. But this site isn’t bad; it offers a dug out fire pit (not great for building, but good for wind protection) with a few flat benches surrounding the pit. Right beside the fire pit is one tent spot option, and then a little further back is more one patch of flat ground to pitch a tent. There isn’t too much more to the site, but it offers most of the essentials you need to make camp for the night. What it lacks is an expansive view onto Pardee Lake, a place to sit and enjoy the sun, swimming opportunities, etc. It’s a campsite that gets the job done, but not a campsite that you go and tell all your friends about.
