North Grace Lake – Campsite #3
Where should I even begin? Never ending rocky shoreline. Sun at all times of the day. Prime swimming and stargazing opportunities. Epic fire pit and seating. A handful of tent spots to choose from, either exposed with nice views, or sheltered inland. Pictured below are most of the tent spots, but there was also a very large patch of flat ground much more inland that I forgot to photograph (it’s where I hung my barrel, so I opted to pitch my tent nearby the fire pit instead). The main entrance to the campsite is a massive chunk of rock, but a very short 10-20m path takes you to a separate chunk of rock facing west for late afternoon sun and a place to watch the sunset. The thunder box was almost full and was literally falling apart, but that’s pretty much the only bad thing I can say about this campsite. In good weather conditions, this is easily an all-time personal favourite.
