Manitou Lake – Campsite #29

For all of the campsites in any of the parks we’ve visited, this has to be one of our favourites. This is an island campsite. There are beach landings on both sides of the island, both with a sandy rocky bottom. Swimming is very good at the beaches, and on the northeastern side of the island there are jumping rocks. There are several good level tent pads available for multiple tents and quite a lot of seating around the campfire. The only downside to this site is the thunder box; to get to the box is up a steep hill and the box is sitting at a downward angle.
