Congratulations, you’ve made it to Maggie Lake. The unmaintained portages make it a real trek getting to Maggie Lake, but it’s a beautiful lake once you arrive. The water looks almost blue. This campsite is on the western side of the island. It’s surrounded by a few other little islands creating a bit of a cove. The rest of the lake was quite windy but the water in front of the campsite was not wavy. There are three or four decent platforms for tents, and the fire pit is good. The thunder box is pretty old but once you dust it off it does the job. Not many canoeists go to Maggie Lake, so you’ll likely have your pick of the 2 island campsites (I’d choose this one, you wont regret it come sunset).
