This campsite on Jubilee Lake is a bit of a mixed experience. First for the pros of the campsite. The placement on the lake is quite nice. The site has a good mix of open and shaded space, and gets pretty good access to the sun from sunrise until late in the day. The views are nice and it’s generally a good spot for enjoying the lake. Water access is decent both for landing the canoe and for swimming. There’s not too much area on the water (much of it is blocked by low bushes) but the main landing is open rock and not too steep, so it’s relatively usable. Within the site there is a sort of rocky ledge area that works pretty well for cooking. Otherwise, there aren’t really any other prepared surfaces available on the site. The fire pit is fine but nothing special. There’s a small bench that is somewhat wobbly. The main challenge on this site is tent placement. Perhaps others will have better luck. Basically the entire site is either slanted, uneven, full of roots, or wet. It was fairly challenging to find space for even one small tent.
