Head Lake – Campsite #6

Without a doubt this is the least desirable campsite on Head Lake, in my opinion. There’s a path from the canoe landing to the main campsite, which is located far back into the bush. The fire pit is very simple and primitive, with some really crappy seating… if you want to even call it that.  The ground would honestly be more comfortable to sit on than those small circular logs. At least there is plenty of flat ground to pitch your tent, but that’s pretty much the only redeeming quality. Since Head Lake leaves one buffer site (6 permits are issued, but there are 7 campsites on the lake), there’s no situation that I would ever personally choose to camp here.
