Harness Lake – Campsite #5

This is a large, spacious island campsite on Harness Lake. The landing isn’t the most accessible, but I was probably just there at a bad time and I’m sure it is better in either higher or lower water levels. The main area of the campsite is pretty exposed to the rain and wind, so the fire pit isn’t ideal for cooking in bad weather conditions. But in good weather, it makes for a pretty great cooking space with nice views overlooking all directions of Harness Lake. There are a handful of tent spot options surrounding the fire pit, and then another handful of spots a bit further back inland, sheltered by the trees. You could easily fit 5-6 tents comfortably at this site if needed. Overall this site is great for a group of any size and is a campsite I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to in the future.
