Clydegale Lake – Campsite #2

This is an awesome site on Clydegale Lake, in the north end of the lake. The shoreline is filled with large open rock faces which provide great opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and stargazing, while also providing the best view of the sunset from any campsite on the lake. The landing is quite poor (you need to find somewhere to wedge your canoe between the rocks), and there is a bit of a climb to the elevated site, but otherwise it has everything you need. A well built fire place with a good amount of seating, a man-made shelf to organize your food, and 3-4 large flat tent spots surrounding the site. The only reason I would choose Campsite #1 over this site is because Campsite #1 has a sunrise view as well, and is more easily accessible with its beach landing. But they are both great sites if you want to stay in the north end of Clydegale.
