Bonnechere Lake – Campsite #3
This campsite reminds me of Campsite #2 on Big Trout Lake in the sense that it’s quite large throughout, but it’s very hilly and doesn’t feel spacious or too inviting. But what I like about this site is the amount of open rock at the shoreline. There’s a small chunk by the canoe landing facing west, bu the main feature of the site is the big chunk of rock at the tip of the site that offers a panoramic view over Bonnechere Lake. There are other sites that I prefer on the lake, but because of the rock at the tip of this site, I wouldn’t mind camping here either. The lake is basically split in two, with half of the sites in the north, and half of the sites in the south. So if you were in the south half, saw this site available, and didn’t want to paddle to the north… then it’s definitely a site worth camping at.
