The Story Behind the Photo: I almost exclusively travel solo on my canoe trips, but for this trip, “The Two Man Tim River Big Trout Loop”, I was accompanied by a friend. He was paddling with a double-blade and had a lot less weight in his boat, so he was moving at a much faster pace than me. We had some really long travel days, and I tend to wake up very early, so I would often get a head start on the water knowing that he would catch up to me a few hours later. On this day, however, I decided to relax at the campsite so we could start our day together. This meant that I had a few hours in the morning all to myself, and what better way to pass the time than to take some photos of the beautiful Algonquin landscape. We were staying at a gorgeous campsite on Shippagew Lake, and I particularly loved how my red canoe contrasted the morning light in front of the Shippagew shorelines. I have the words “Slow Down” engraved on my canoe paddle, which is my constant reminder to myself to stop and appreciate the moment. On this morning, that’s exactly what I did.

All of the Framed Photo Prints are photos that were taken by myself, in Algonquin Park. Most of the photos were taken with my Canon R7 (6,960 x 4,640 pixel resolution) with either the RF 24-240mm or Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 lens. All rights reserved.
Although every effort is made to accurately display the product’s colours, I cannot guarantee that the colours displayed on your device will accurately represent the printed product. Here’s why:
Backlighting: When you view images on electronic devices, they have illuminated displays. The colours, details and overall appearance will look very bright and vibrant. Printed products are not illuminated. Even though the artwork printed on them closely match the original image files, they will always appear darker.
Material: Different materials have a varying degrees of tonal changes, colour saturation and clarity. Each material has its own unique qualities and characteristics which will influence the appearance of the print.
RGB vs. CMYK: Images are viewed online with RGB and will need to be translated to CMYK for print. The printed images and colours will be similar, but it will not match your screen exactly as slight variances occur when translating from one colour space to another.
