White Trout Lake – Campsite #9
This is the ‘horseshoe’ island on White Trout Lake, in the south of the lake. The landing is on the southwest side of the island, and has a steep incline to get to the main campsite (with built-in stairs). There are some tree roots to tie down the canoe with rope, but in high water levels I would not recommend leaving the canoe at the bottom overnight. The interior of the site is very open and spacious, although it doesn’t offer as many views as you would think from looking at the island on a map. However, there are a few flat tent spots, and trails to either end of the ‘horseshoe’ with ample amounts of wood along the way.
