Welcome Lake – Campsite #4

From what I saw, this campsite is one of the least attractive sites on Welcome Lake. Most campsites on Welcome have a large beachfront and offer nicer views onto the water. This site however is tucked away in the narrow part of the ‘hourglass’ peninsula. The site offers good shelter from the elements, a decent fire pit and seating area, and flat tent spot options, but it doesn’t offer much in terms of scenery. We took this site out of necessity, and while it wasn’t a bad site, it just didn’t have some of the things we were looking for (swimming, sunset views, etc.). This site is nearby campsite #5, with a short pathway connecting the two. If you’re looking for a campsite on Welcome Lake, I would treat this as a good fallback option, but not a first choice.
