I’ll start this report by copying something I wrote for Campsite #3. “The third thing is pretty obvious before you even get to the campsite, and that’s the fact that it’s a stones throw away from Campsite #4. You just need to look on a map to see this. You would want to be occupying both campsites or at least know the group on Campsite #4 because I can guarantee you’ll hear ever sneeze, cough, and hiccup from the other group.” Other than the extremely close proximity of the two campsites, I actually really liked this campsite. It has a really nice canoe landing that looks like it would be a mix of beach and rocks when water levels aren’t crazy high like they were when I visited. The fire pit is perfect and has three flat benches in front of it. The campsite is very open and exposed, but with plenty of places to pitch tarps for shelter if needed. It also has a gorgeous view onto Tom Thomson. I found one tent spot that would be suitable; there may have been more further back that I didn’t see, but I can confirm there’s at least one good spot. Overall it’s a very picturesque campsite. It’s flat, functional, has a great fire pit, great views, and a great landing. It’s definitely a winner in my books and I wouldn’t hesitate to camp here.
