Sproule Lake – Campsite #5
This campsite took me by surprise. Prior to my trip I had heard that the two south sites on the east shore were small and not good, and while that held true for Campsite #4, it was definitely not my opinion of this site. The site has a small elevation that provides a beautiful view into the centre of Sproule Lake. It’s relatively spacious as well, and has a fire pit situated in an ideal spot to observe the beauty of the lake while admiring the evening sunset. There is one main tent spot right behind the fire pit, which is definitely large enough to occupy a few tents if needed. However, my favourite part of this site is the mini rock cliff by the water. This will obviously be more prominent in low water levels, but it offers a great spot for sunbathing, stargazing, and just enjoying the views onto the lake. If you’re looking for a little bit more privacy and enclosure, while still retaining the picturesque views of Sproule Lake, this is probably an ideal site for you.
