The only two issues with this site is the incline from the landing, and the fact that it’s connected to the portage into Ryan Lake. If you don’t mind either of those things then you’ll get to enjoy a beach at the front of the site, an exposed grassy area up top, a more sheltered area by the fire pit that can be tarped, and plenty of places to pitch your tent (either on the exposed grass, or inland among the trees). This wouldn’t be my first choice of campsites on Shirley Lake, but it does seem to be one of the better options, in my opinion.
*This site is not marked on some maps, but it is definitely marked as an official campsite on the lake
