Shirley Lake – Campsite #1
This is an all around pretty nice site on Shirley Lake. My one complaint would be the very basic fire pit and lack of seating, and I guess the incline from the water. Ok, maybe that was more than one complaint. But none of those things are really deal breakers either. There’s plenty of flat ground for tents, easy tarping options, and a beautiful westward view to watch the sunset from the beach landing. My favourite thing about this site though is its seclusion in the north of the lake. It almost feels like you’re on a different lake completely (in a good way), and the three small islands in front of the site make quite a beautiful backdrop.
