Scorch Lake – Campsite #4

This is what would most likely be the first choice campsite on Scorch Lake. The site is on the eastern shore, farthest away from the only access into the lake. It has a massive wrap-around beachfront offering views all the way from east to west. A lot of the beach is rocky, but there are sandy sections to lay out and enjoy the sun. The fire pit has minimal seating and is pretty exposed, but there are a few different tent spot options that offer a bit more shelter. Overall this campsite would be ok in poor weather, but not ideal. But if you’re hoping to stay on this site, it’s mostly because of the exposure, the views, and the beach. You’re coming here to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the privacy. Because of how big and spacious the campsite is, it’s a great option if you’re travelling with a large group.
