Rock Lake – Campsite #7
If you’re travelling solo or with a small group, this campsite might be for you. It’s a very small campsite with a nicely built fire pit directly beside the water, although there isn’t much seating surrounding it. Just one log to the side, and one rock in front. At the front of the campsite is a chunk of open rock. There was a decent bit of the rock exposed when I visited the site right after ice out, so in lower water levels it would be even more exposed. The campsite is tucked away into a bay offering some wind protection along with some privacy and seclusion relative to other campsites on Rock Lake. There are three good tent spots directly beside the fire pit and the water. It has all of the essentials for a small group, some shelter, tent spots, and an easy canoe landing. It’s not an extravagant site; it’s a subtle one that would often go unnoticed, but it’s cute and I wouldn’t hesitate to call this place home for a few nights.
