Rock Lake – Campsite #15
This campsite had two canoe landings. The first one is the one I decided to pull into, and was absolutely terrible with the high water levels. Silly me didn’t see there’s a better rocky landing that seems like it would be the more suitable choice regardless of water level conditions. Inside is a nice campsite with a decent fire pit, though it doesn’t have seating surrounding it. There are about 2-3 tent spots and some good options to pitch a tarp or hammock nearby. The front of the campsite has a little chunk of rock facing north onto Rock Lake. It’s not large enough for a huge group to lounge and relax, but it would be big enough for a couple people to enjoy. It’s a pretty good campsite overall, especially when water levels are lower. However the main area with the fire pit is very exposed with little tree coverage, so if there are northern winds or lots of rain, the site will be heavily exposed to those elements.
