Red Pine Bay – Campsite #4
A spectacular island campsite on Red Pine Bay. Possibly my favourite campsite that I’ve ever camped on in Algonquin Park. The island is very small and very exposed, but it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Red Pine Bay, from multiple different viewpoints. A large cliff at the north of the site offers commanding views onto the lake, while the rocks at the south of the site offer viewpoints for all the angles that the cliff misses. There is a thunderbox hidden in the trees, a few tent spot options, and the most epic fire pit I’ve seen in Algonquin. There are beautiful sunrise and sunset views as well. Word of caution, due to how exposed the site is, I would not recommend staying here in poor weather conditions.
