The sole campsite on Ravenau Lake was in ok shape. There are a couple level areas to pitch the tent. We used the farther spot back that leads towards the thunder box, but couldn’t smell it at all. There is one log bench to sit on near the fire pit; it’s not super comfy, but it’s not too bad. The fire pit is in good condition and there were a few grates left behind from previous campers. There are two spots to dock a canoe; the right-hand side (when facing the site in the water) is best for this, while the other side has large rocks. This campsite is great for 1-3 nights stay. It’s the only campsite on the lake so you have it all to yourself. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t see a single person. There was lots of dry wood/dead standing to use. The thunder box has seen better days; we thought it was gonna break! It’s more like a moss box now.
