Ragged Lake – Campsite #22
This campsite was… umm… interesting? I couldn’t figure out what was with all the trees. Yes, I know we’re in the middle of Algonquin Park, but why were there so many cut trees in the middle of the campsite? Were the trees posing some sort of danger so park staff had to cut them down? Or were they all blow downs that needed to be cleared? Anyways, among the massive tree trunks there is actually a campsite here as well. There’s a good fire pit with clearly no shortage of seating nearby, and several flat patches of ground to pitch your tent. The site also has an easily accessible canoe landing, along with a small secondary fire pit. It’s in a high traffic area of the lake though, so that’s the main downside.
