Ragged Lake – Campsite #15

I was a bit confused when I arrived at this campsite. It has a large beach landing with a fire pit and one log for seating, and what looks like a flat section of sand by the trees to pitch a tent. But I thought there’s no way the whole campsite is just this small beach area? So I walked further down the beach and found a trail leading to the actual campsite. The real campsite has a large fire pit with no seating around it, and a few non-beach tent spots. There’s also a separate, official canoe landing at the front of the site (which is where the official orange marker is as well). Without the beach area, this campsite wouldn’t be anything special, but I’m guessing the main reason people camp here is to take advantage of the beach, especially to watch the sunset. At least that’s the only reason I would choose to camp at this site.
