Ragged Lake – Campsite #14
This is an interesting site that I actually really enjoyed. It’s situated right in the narrow point of an hourglass shaped peninsula, offering access from either the east side or the west side. Just note that I accessed the site from the west side, but the official access is on the east side with a much larger beach landing. Inside the campsite is a small fire pit and seating area, but with plenty of nearby flat patches of ground to accommodate multiple tents. The official access on the east side has a large beach area, which is great for swimming and enjoying the morning sunshine. What I love about this site is that it faces both west and east, so you get multiple viewpoints onto Ragged Lake with sunshine throughout the whole day, and perfect views of both the sunrise and sunset. All while still offering decent shelter from the elements. Sure, the seating around the fire pit could be better, but that’s pretty much the only downside.
