Queer Lake – Campsite #4 2021
I visited this site originally in 2018, and now that I was finally camping on Queer Lake, it was the site I chose to stay at. Campsite #6 I think is the nicest site on the lake, but when I travel solo there are specific things I enjoy in a site, and this site offered it. Flat with easy access to the water is a big one, since I like to go in and out of my canoe frequently (especially since I would be camping here for 3 nights). An open and spacious interior is another, since I like to be aware of my surroundings as much as possible. Those two things this site offers better than Campsite #6, and the rest of things that I like were pretty similar. They both offer a beautiful view out onto Queer Lake, they both have flat rock to sunbathe and stargaze (although the flat rock on this campsite is only large enough for 1-2 people). Overall I really enjoyed this site and wouldn’t hesitate to camp here again in the future.
