Pen Lake – Campsite #10
This campsite is in the south end of Pen Lake, lodged midway between a strip of campsites on the east shore. The site is very unassuming from the water, but I really enjoyed it once I got on land. It isn’t overly large and spacious, but it is very cozy and has a feeling of seclusion despite being in the middle of a very popular lake. The large rock at the front of the site is a nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful west views onto Pen Lake, while the fire pit, seating, and tent spots are large enough to accommodate a medium sized group. There’s a small incline from the landing to the main site, but much less so than some of the surrounding campsites in the south of Pen. Overall, it’s a pretty good site if you’re looking for something on Pen Lake with a bit more shelter.
