Mouse Lake – Campsite #4
I’ve said this a few times before in my campsite reports, and this campsite is going to be added to the list of sites that just give me an eerie feeling. The site is small, dark, and enclosed, and at any moment it feels like a bear is going to walk through the forest to come and say hello. It does have a beach landing at the front, though I’m not sure how many hours of sun it would actually get each day. Inside the small campsite is a surprisingly decent fire pit and surrounding tent spots, but that’s all there is to the site. Oh, and a ton of downed trees everywhere. Like why have so many trees fallen directly surrounding the fire pit area? I think all of the fallen trees definitely contributed to the already eerie vibes I was getting. Surprisingly this still wouldn’t be my last campsite choice on Mouse Lake though… see Campsite #6 for that!
