Littledoe Lake – Campsite #2
This is one of those campsites that may seem cool at first, but then you realize it isn’t all that functional. For example the fire pit looks nice visually, but the only seating surrounding it are some big boulders. Cool, right? But maybe not the most fun to sit on for a few hours in the evening. The site itself is up high compared to the canoe landing. The fire pit is close, but you need to do a quick climb to get to it. Behind the campsite are two trails; to the left is a short trail leading to the thunder box, and to the right is a steep incline that I decided not to go up. The views out of the site aren’t that great relative to other campsites on Littledoe Lake, but one view you’ll definitely get is of all the people passing by (not exactly the view you’d want, I assume). It does face west for sunset though, so that’s a plus. But that’s basically the only thing I liked about this campsite. I wouldn’t want to camp at this campsite unless it was a last minute choice with everything else on Littledoe Lake already taken.
