Little Trout Lake – Campsite #10

This is a popular site on Little Trout Lake, and now that I’ve finally gotten the chance to visit it, I can see why. There are 3 different potential landings and entrances to the site. Once inside, there’s an open and spacious interior, with plenty of room to accommodate several tents. The fire pit and seating surrounding it are pretty average, but the real draw to this site is the large chunk of rock at the shoreline. The front half (closer to the water) is sloping, and then it levels off and becomes more flat at the top. This means that when viewing the rock from the water, you only see the sloping section, not the flat section… basically, the rock is much larger than it appears from the water. This is the type of site I really love and from the sites I’ve personally seen on Little Trout Lake, this is for sure my favourite of them.
