Little Raccoon Lake – Campsite #1

I had heard that the sites on Little Raccoon Lake weren’t that great, but I was surprised when I saw this site. It has an easy to access rocky landing, with a small chunk of rock right beside it to sit by the water and enjoy the sun. The fire pit and seating area is perfect for a small group. There’s one small tent spot directly beside the fire pit, and one more larger spot about 20m or so away. Little Raccoon Lake isn’t very busy and doesn’t get too much traffic, so it offers a nice slice of solitude, especially during the busier summer months. This site isn’t anything spectacular, but you could definitely do a lot worse.
