Linda Lake – Campsite #1 – 2015
The island campsite on Linda Lake is a small, but gorgeous site. Due to how exposed it is, it’s not the type of site you would want to camp on in bad weather, but on sunny days it’s an amazing spot. The site is open and spacious, with large rocks at both the front and back of the site… the swimming, sunbathing, and stargazing opportunities are endless. There’s enough room for 2 tents comfortably, and you can probably pitch a small 3rd tent at the back of the island if needed. The “front” of the island is actually facing the northwest bay, so it offers a good amount of privacy since there are no passerby’s. The “back” of the island opens up to the body of the lake and has the most open rock. The sunrise and sunset views are as perfect as they come on this island as well. The only downsides are that it’s heavily used, so there is usually leftover garbage and no fire wood.
