Like many other campsites in the south arm of Lake Opeongo, campsite 42 is a pretty forgettable site. I enjoyed the flat beach landing, making it easy to land my canoe and access the site. And I enjoyed the few different options for tent spots. But other than those two things it’s kind of a struggle to write a report for this campsite, because it’s just so average. There’s no spectacular view out onto the lake, there’s no high level of privacy, and there’s nothing else that I’d call a redeeming quality for this campsite. If you needed to camp here it does have all of the essentials, but if you have time to paddle and find another site, that would be my recommendation.
