I had accidentally stumbled upon this campsite while visiting Campsite 29. I thought to myself “Oh cool, a second fire pit. Looks like a tent could be pitched here too.” It was only when I paddled by on the water that I saw an orange campsite marker, indicating it was a totally separate site. This campsite isn’t marked on the 2015 version of Jeffs Map (the most recent version) so it must be a relatively new campsite. I’m not sure why the park would add this site lodged right in between Campsite 29 and Campsite 28, but it’s not a terrible site so hey, the more the merrier I guess. This campsite has its own aesthetic rocky shoreline with an easy canoe landing among the shallow sloped rocks. But the main campsite is completely exposed, so it’s probably a site you’d want to avoid if the forecast was calling for heavy rain or strong winds.
