Lake Louisa – Campsite #13
This is a gem of a campsite perched on top of a small cliff midway down Lake Louisa. You can land your canoe on either the east or west side, but there’s a quick climb to the actual site. The site is very large and spacious and offers a few flat tent spots. The thunder box area is huge and can accommodate extra large tents if needed. But the selling point of this site is the 270 degree panoramic views of Lake Louisa. The views from on top of the site area breathtakingly beautiful and offer everything from sunrise to sunset, and spectacular stargazing as well. The west side of the site has a vast amount of open rock face, making it an amazing place to swim, relax, and enjoy the sunshine. This is definitely my favourite campsite on the lake, and probably ranks as one of my overall favorites in Algonquin Park.
