Kiosk Lake – Campsite J1
Both Jump Off #1 (J1) and Jump Off #2 (J2) are right beside each other. When camping at either of these sites, you’ll need to park about 50m away at the nearest designated parking lot. The trail to the sites are clearly marked, including a marked post leading to the outhouse. J2’s outhouse looked older, but was equipped with a toilet seat and toilet paper when I visited. Either way, I think most people would probably walk to the campground washroom since they’re bigger and cleaner. J1 and J2 are extremely similar aesthetically and functionally. The main site is completely exposed, but comes with picnic tables, a fire pit, and very large areas of flat ground to pitch your tents. They also both have direct water access to Kiosk Lake. The only downside is that the main area is a good walk away from the parking lot, and the two sites are about 10m apart from one another. But for the purpose of being a jump off site, they do their job well. J1 and J2 are both relatively secluded from the rest of the campground campsites.
