Kenneth Lake – Campsite #2

I know what you’re thinking. “Why would I ever want to camp at a site that’s directly attached to the portage. People can literally see into the campsite from the portage landing!” But hear me out… Kenneth is a dead end lake and it’s really not that popular at all. The vast majority of the time, if you’re camping on Kenneth Lake, you’ll be the only people there. So if you like this site, you really shouldn’t have concerns about the privacy. And even if another group did enter the lake, it would be 2-3 minutes of them possibly seeing you at camp, and then they’ll move on to find their own site. The location of this site really shouldn’t be a deal breaker in my opinion. Because the campsite itself is pretty nice! It’s mostly levelled with a handful of tent spot options, and the main chill area is top notch with a very well built fire pit and tons of flat seating, including both benches and rocks. It’s well sheltered and protected from the elements too. I do honestly think Campsite #1 would be my first choice on Kenneth Lake, but this would for sure be my second choice.
