Campsite #8 on Dickson Lake is a beautiful campsite. It’s a south facing campsite with some easterly exposure. It had some recent improvements to the main campfire area. There is a new set of benches that encircle about half of the entire area of the fire pit. There are also two table tops built in between three nearby trees. The canoe takeout area is less than desirable; it’s approximately 20-30 meters from the campsite, to the west. It has a mix of sand and rock and is really the only option since the area directly in front of the campsite isn’t suitable to use as a take out/put in. The thunder box is in poor shape and needs replacing. There are two average sized usable tent pad areas. I had to walk a long way into the bush to find a suitable tree for a bear hang.
