David Lake – Campsite #2

This is one of two campsites on David Lake in Algonquin, and is clearly the inferior of the two. David Lake only has one permit, meaning only one group of campers, and the island site is a much better choice than this campsite on the north shore. As a result, the campsite is becoming overgrown. Even despite this, the campsite is uninviting, unaesthetic, and unimpressive. There really is not much to it other than a poor fire pit and a few flat tent spots. Granted, it does offer a nice view onto David Lake, and it does provide shelter as well, but there’s really no situation I can think of that I would take this site over the island site (unless you have campsite pirates!).
