Canisbay Lake – Campsite #8
The front of this campsite has a beach landing, though it’s followed with an abrupt and steep 10ft climb to the main campsite. Tucked away on the side is a more gradual incline which would be the ideal path to haul your gear. The main campsite area is large and spacious, yet still very sheltered and protected with tree coverage. There are a few obvious tent spots, but the campsite is relatively flat throughout and you could probably pitch your tent in several different places depending on preference. The fire pit is the main downside of this campsite; it’s quite average and only has one bench for seating. Not to mention, that one bench is extremely high up (seriously, it’s unnecessarily high) and it’s also pretty far away from the fire pit. This is an ok campsite overall, it wouldn’t be my first choice on Canisbay Lake but it also wouldn’t be the end of the world if you ended up camping here.
