Canisbay Lake – Campsite #7
My initial thoughts when visiting this campsite were “cool, another beach landing but the rest of the site kinda sucks”. Thankfully, I changed my opinion after spending a few minutes relaxing at the site. The soft beach landing is very accessible and offers easy access to the water, which is something that I personally love. Plus, it’s the perfect spot to hang out on a sunny day. The fire pit and seating is ideal for a solo traveller or a small group, but wouldn’t be the best to accommodate several people. There’s one tent spot located a few feet beside the fire pit, and another larger tent spot located a bit further in the other direction. Both tent spots are quite exposed to the elements. There isn’t too much else to the campsite and it’s not an overly spacious site, but for a small group it’s a comfortable place to call home for the night. Plus, if you’re camping in the fall the view onto the western shoreline of Canisbay Lake is absolutely breathtaking.
