Canisbay Lake – Campsite #2
Don’t be fooled by the orange marker for this campsite. It’s placed on a tree in front of a shoreline that’s full of rocks, but that’s definitely not the right place to land your canoe. Just off to the side is a small beach landing, which doesn’t only make for a perfect place to land and unload, but it’s also the perfect spot to go for a swim and enjoy a sunny afternoon. Inside the campsite there’s a fire pit without any seating, and a bunch of large downed trees going across the site in different directions. There are two tent spots, though they’re both relatively small and only one of them I’d actually want to use. The only thing I really liked about this campsite was the beach landing, but even that was pretty small. If I was camping on Canisbay Lake I would choose a different campsite if I had the choice, however if the lake was full and I ended up here, I wouldn’t be disappointed.
