Canisbay Lake – Campsite #13
There are two separate canoe landings at this campsite, and water levels would probably dictate which one you would want to use. The first is a small section of beach with rocky shoreline on either side, but the beach would only be exposed in low water levels. The other, main landing is a chunk of sloping rock, which would offer an easily accessible entry to the campsite regardless of water level conditions. Inside, the campsite is very exposed without much tree coverage in the centre. This would make it not very ideal in inclement weather. The fire pit is nicely built but lacks any seating surrounding it. But what the site lacks in seating is makes up for with perfectly flat tent spots just a few meters away from the fire pit. If Campsite 14 wasn’t occupied, this site would offer a good amount of privacy relative to most others on Canisbay, and that would be the main reason I would choose to camp here. Otherwise I would probably look for another site that has better shelter and seating around the fire pit.
