Canisbay Lake – Campsite #11
This is a pretty typical Algonquin campsite in all of the good ways. It has a rocky shoreline that gradually slopes into the water, making it relatively easy to land and unload (but this will vary depending on water levels). The campsite is tucked away about 10m inland, and has a fire pit with three flat benches surrounding it. Off to the sides are three notable tent spots sheltered among the trees. The front of the campsite has a nice view out onto Canisbay Lake, but due to its positioning it won’t get too much sunshine throughout the day. There’s nothing special about this campsite, but it does have everything you would need to set up camp for a few nights. Just try to ignore the ugly white rope hanging from the tree at the front of the campsite, which was clearly left over from a previous food hang.
