Burntroot Lake – Campsite #13

One of the two campsites on a small island in the southern half of Burntroot Lake. The two campsites on the island share a beach landing, however the trail to this southeastern site is much shorter than to the other site. This is undoubtedly the nicer of the two sites, with an awesome fire pit, plenty of seating, flat rocks for kitchen tables, and several large tent spots. It’s surprisingly sheltered for a small island, and there’s the exposed beach landing for swimming, sunbathing, and stargazing opportunities. This is a great site for any group size, and most weather conditions.
