Bruce Lake – Campsite #1

This is the sole campsite on Bruce Lake, and it’s actually a pretty nice site. It has a large rock face at the front of the site to enjoy the view onto the expanse of the lake, and to lounge in good weather. The fire pit area is small, but it has two flat benches and a large rock beside that can accommodate a few extra people if needed. There are also two sheltered tent spots large enough to fit medium sized tents. The site offers a little bit of everything, and it’s obviously a bonus that it’s the only campsite on the lake. The only downside is its location between the two portages; you won’t have much privacy during the day as people are travelling in and out of Source Lake, but in the early mornings and evenings, this shouldn’t be an issue.
