Big Trout Lake – Campsite #8

This Campsite Report is a Guest Submission. The description and images are not my own so I cannot personally verify its accuracy. If you notice any errors, please let me know. If you want to submit your own Campsite Report, visit the submission page.

This site is what feels like two separate islands, connected by a narrow band of sandy beachfront. While it certainly looks like it gets a lot of use, it could house a very large group, with ample flat spaces to set up tents. There’s a number of spaces to set up, whether you want somewhere with a breeze, or something that’s a bit more protected. The fire pit and camp benches are fairly typical; sheltered, but should hopefully have at least a bit of a breeze. Chance of an epic sunset view is limited here, because the shore is relatively close to the west. On the north end of the island there’s a spot with good jumping rocks, and even an added rope swing. I would not hesitate to take this site again in the future.
