Algonquin & Beyond

Big Trout Lake – Campsite #26

One of many island sites on Big Trout Lake in Algonquin. This site is very exposed, but also very scenic. It offers a breathtaking view of the sunset, with a backdrop of scattered islands in front of the site. There are a few tent spot options, and the site becomes more sheltered as it backs into the trees. This site was closed for camping when I visited so I didn’t get to camp here, but it is definitely a site I would try and stay at given good weather conditions.
