Big Trout Lake – Campsite #16

There’s a bit of a climb from the canoe landing to the main campsite area, but once you’re in the campsite there’s a sheltered fire pit with the typical 3-bench seating that you’ll find at many campsites on Big Trout Lake. The site itself is very flat, with plenty of good trees to hang a tarp and no shortage of flat ground to pitch a tent. The site offers good shelter, but it doesn’t offer anywhere to enjoy the sunshine or the grand views of the lake. It could be a good site to choose in poor weather but otherwise there are better options.
